This is our primary two-seat training glider.  After solo, pilots are required to do at least 3 hours solo in the twin before flying a single seat aircraft.

ZK-GVF  – PZL Swidnik “PW5” Smyk

 

The PW5 is trainees first solo aircraft.  It is light and easy to fly and will stay up when others struggle in lighter conditions.  Pilots consolidate their solo time in this glider for at least 10 hours before progressing to the Standard Astir.

ZK-GMP – Grob G102 “Standard Astir”

 

The Standard Astir is the most advanced of the club’s gliders.  It has retractable undercarriage and has a top speed of 135 knots.
